💾 ServicePack4 — Keeping Windows XP Alive

Welcome to ServicePack4. This site is dedicated to keeping Windows XP alive in 2026 — and not only for retro gaming or nostalgia. The goal is to set XP up so it can still serve as a more-or-less secure, usable system for everyday tasks.

Below is an archive of the apps I recommend that still support Windows XP — or, where development has moved on, the last versions that did. Alongside it you'll find guides on security, SSD tweaks, drivers, file transfer, and more. Click any title to expand the full details, including version, file size, description, and screenshots.

Guides & Recommendations

Tweaks, hardening, and recommendations for Windows XP enthusiasts. Click any guide to expand it. These are written for hobby, retro, and offline use — XP reached end-of-support in April 2014, so treat any internet-connected XP box as inherently exposed.

About

ServicePack4 is a solo project — built and maintained by one person who still believes Windows XP has life in it. Microsoft ended support in April 2014, but with the right software and a few sensible precautions, XP can run as a capable daily-use machine — for browsing, files, media, and of course games.

Everything listed here is hand-picked and tested by me for XP compatibility, and offered as-is. These are my own recommendations, not sponsored placements. Where an app no longer supports XP, I point to the last version that did. Treat any internet-connected XP box with care, and read the Security guide first.
